HEAL THE WORLD WITH YOUR MIND

The Participatory Mind

The Participatory Mind helps us realise the central role of the mind in designing new cosmologies, ontologies, and in determining social behaviour. Mind is central to everything, every process and phenomenon. This world is also a product of the mind for it shapes the world we live in the way it likes.

Human beings tend to shift from a boring mode of living to one which is more interesting and life-enhancing. Intense will showing affinity to spirituality is growing, for this mode of living factors in the integrity and enhancement of individual beings and of society. Spirituality also takes us closer to nature and inspires us to be devoted to the healing of self and nature.

A Holistic View

Science is beginning to take this kind of holistic view, in recognition of the interconnected nature of existence. Physicists seek the unified theory. Medical sciences advocate yoga and meditation. Psychology now regards an individual human as being more than a ‘social animal’. A new mind appears to be evolving caressed by the universe. This mind will help create a universe with a new world blossoming with happiness and fullness of life

HEALING THE WORLD WITH YOUR MIND

INTEGRITY IN THE COSMOS
There is a wonderful unity and integrity in the cosmos. But we tend to divide and disintegrate it. Environmental disruption leading to environmental catastrophe is a stark example of this. Our ordinary mind is responsible for this division and disintegration. Yet the mind could remould the universe and give it a new shape and structure, restoring to it its infinite beauty. The mind which could give new and the real meaning to the universe is the wonderful creation of the universe itself.  The key to our reconstruction of the universe is the mind. When we grasp the meaning and place of the mind in the cosmos, we shall be astonished to discover that other things are falling into their places much more readily than we expected.

Monotheistic Commands in Bhagvad Gita

Those whose minds are distorted by material desires surrender unto demigods and follow the particular rules and regulations of worship according to their own natures.
Chapter 7, Verse 21.
I am in everyone's heart as the Supersoul. As soon as one desires to worship the demigods, I make his faith steady so that he can devote himself to some particular deity.
Chapter 7, Verse 22.
Endowed with such a faith, he seeks favors of a particular demigod and obtains his desires. But in actuality these benefits are bestowed by Me alone.

ULTIMATE KNOWLEDGE

ULLTIMATE KNOWLEDGE OF BHAGVAD GiTA India’s favourite spiritual book, The Bhagavad Gita, has made a dramatic impact at Harvard, Wharton and other business schools with its universal message of “concentration, consistency, and cooperation”. In a nutshell: “You can’t succeed in business (or war) unless you develop the intellect, which controls the mind and body.”
The Gita remains relevant in the conduct of any war, including Afghanistan. But first about business schools. At one time it used to be fashionable in management circles to quote from the sixth century B.C. Chinese classic The Art of War. However, the recent trend shows the growing inclination towards introspective Bhagavad Gita.
The New York-based Business Week says that Bhagavad Gita is the favoured text in the US for ideas about leadership. Let me quote from an earlier issue of the magazine: “The ancient spiritual wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita seems at first like an odd choice for guiding today’s numbers-driven managers.
“Also known as Song of the Divine One, the work relates a conversation between the supreme deity Krishna and Arjuna, a warrior prince, struggling with a moral crisis before a crucial battle. One key
message is that enlightened leaders should master any impulses or emotions that cloud sound judgment.
“Good leaders are selfless, take initiative, and focus on their duty rather than obsessing over outcomes or financial gain. ‘The key point,’ says Ram Charan, a coach to CEOs such as General Electric Co.’s (GE ) Jeffrey R. Immelt, ‘is to put purpose before self. This is absolutely applicable to corporate world

CONCEPT OF GOD

CONCEPT OF GOD

The festival season starts an all prepare to do pooja and worship deities This gives an impression that Hindus are polytheistic. In fact they are worshiping the manifestation of divine grace so essential for our welfare and confidence .
Personal God

In general Hinduism considers God not just as the Supreme All-powerful Gigantic One, Who commands the humanity to tread the way He/She/It says, but also a personal God Whom the individual can worship out of love and not necessarily out of fear ! The fear brings one only upto certain point and beyond that it repels, but love takes through to the point. Devotion or bhakti as often referred to is a very key concept in Hinduism, even for the philosophically inclined ones. While the shashtras - be it vedas, Agamas, purANas - describe the Glory of God, one finds abundance of stotras that praise the God in love.
God is Formless or with Form ?

For Hindus God, as is, is beyond any attributes of form, color, shapes ... That is, God does not have any specific form or name. In this state God is referred to as nirguNa brahman(attributeless god). However God takes forms as perceived by humans and this perceived form is called saguNa brahman (god with (good) attributes). These forms could range from calm to fierce to yogic (1). Each form has its significance. For example when one is depressed and sees the form of God Strong and Powerful, the seeker feels the moral boost that God would definitely be the support for the right thing. Similarly when in an auspicious ceremony would like the God to be the calm provider of boons. In a spiritually elevated state, the choice would be the yogic form of God. The forms provide a basis for the Hindu worshipper to easily pursue the otherwise incomprehensible Supreme. So Hinduism supports both form as well as formless worship of the God. Whether one worships in saguNa or nirguNa way, it is ultimately the same God.
Let us hail the God, Who does not have a name or a form or anything like that, by singing thousands of Its names!
Is there an evil force against God ?

God is the Almighty and Supreme. So how can there be anything good or bad against It ? If the good things are the creation of God and bad things of some other evil force, will the gravitational force of the earth be attributed to God or the other force, as it is vital good element for us to live at the same time kills somebody who falls down from a high-rise building! In the system made by God, normally one gets to enjoy the good or bad things based on what have been their inclinations and the actions they made because of that. (This is calledkarma). There is no evil (satan type) against God. In fact atharva veda puts it very clearly,
"na dvitIyo na tR^itIyashchaturtho nApyuchyate
na pa.nchamo na ShaShThaH saptamo nApyuchyate
nAShTamo na navamo dashamo nApyuchyate
ya etaM devamekavR^itaM veda"
There is none second to It, neither third not even fourth.
There is none fifth to It, neither sixth not even seventh.
There is none eighth to It, neither ninth not even tenth.
It is the only Supreme. This is to be known.
The concept of good and bad things is at a lower level and that too in a different way than strictly good and evil. The divines called devas are the protectors and the essentials who support the worlds. For example, air, sun, moon, water, fire etc. Those who disrupt the life supporting mechanism are the daemons called asuras. The conflicts between the two often arise and the Hindu epics talk in detail about them. However it should be kept in mind that as specified in purANas all the devAs are not the perfect beings and the asuras the worthless evils.
Whether it is Ganesh, Durga or Lakshmi it is the Supreme that is worshiped
